Day One

First day of work, most awesome day of my life. I found what I want to do forever. Can I? Can I? Plz?!!?

Office is on the 20th floor. Freakin jaw-dropping view of NYC. Windows take up most of the walls, so sunlight is always pouring in. I bet we don't even need to turn the lights on, it's so sunny. And the walls are teal.

And I get my own secluded desk! And a comfy chair!

I jizzed my pants a little when I sat down. Not gonna lie.

Within the next few days, I'm going to get my own email account. And--get this--BUSINESS CARDS. They're giving me little pieces of paper with my NAME on it. This is so freakin legit. And looks like I can go to BEA too.

I wish I could just throw all my energy into my job right now, but I'm not done with school yet. And my thesis was due YESTERDAY (still have 7 pgs to write).
Oh yea. And Thursday I have two papers due (total of 15 pgs). In the past 48 hrs, I've gotten only 2 hrs of sleep. 1hr sleep per 24hrs is a good enough ratio, ya?

So going through queries today, I had a surprisingly high number that couldn't conjugate verbs properly. I mean, ok one query a day that leaves out articles and mixes tenses is expected. But I came across at least three! So I wondered, "Is it me?! Am I woozy from lack of sleep?" So I check and rechecked, but nope. The three really couldn't conjugate or use articles. See? Do not fret! I can function perfectly on no sleep. I'm a freakin cylon.

What made my day: A delivery guy walked in and said, "Ju-det? Is there a j00-dette here?" I popped up, all embarrassed since the whole office can hear, but then he gives me flowers! From FinePrint! It was the sweetest thing anyone's done for me. None of this could've happened without you guys! It's like we're playing a game, "How Many Agents Does It Take To Get Judith A Job?" It finally worked and and and. I feel like my life's finally starting.

The flowers were definitely a nice touch. Congratulations on all of the excitement, and I hope you get more sleep soon.
